great

love the book, love the app. Three features I would like to see: 1. order bookmarks by categories 2. add your own places 3. add notes to places

Great App

Was a Great help. I used the app more than my Time Out Print edition. The recommanded Restaurants and bars were cool and I loved the "close by"-Button for searching things. It really worked well.

Best NY App Ive found

Though many of the descriptions are short, it gives a really good impression of what to expect. It worked especially well with cafes. Sometimes a bit cynical, but always reliable. Much better than the print edition, as its a lot more easy to use when travelling. It makes perfect use of the iPhone possibilities. The Frommer app is a close second, though considerably less hip. Dont even think about buying the dreadful Lonely Planet app.

Not Enough There for $4.99...

Little detail behind listings (times, price ranges); grocery stores and fast food missing (or I couldnt find them); maps dont zoom. Some good info but not nearly enough for $4.99. Ill try in NYC this week and update if Im wrong.

Great suggestions for repeat visitors!

Good solid reliable info to build your visit on. Best for people somewhat familiar with the city. Would be nice to include subway map or such.

A bit buggy but not bad

Buggy with regards to the display which requires a restart, but otherwise useful for offline maps of neighborhoods. It does not match up to the print version in terms of quality. It could use a search function.

It would help to see the app!

I got this app cuz it was great on my gfs phone 2 yrs ago. But this version is super glitchy! Every time I check out a page and go back to the main menu, half of the the menu face is out of view... Ya cant drag it in or anything. Its crrrrrap I tell ya!

Please restore offline functionality!

I regularly purchased the old NFT city apps and loved them because they didnt require data/wifi to provide most of the info. Slick new design, but almost useless without data - something not all travelers have when out of country. Transit maps are another key feature that would really make this worth it. Please keep working on it - I love NFT!

Map is not working

This App used to be good but now is useless as map does not work at all. I wonder if the programmer no longer care about this App as there has been no update for more than 2 years, which is definitely necessary for this App.

Do not buy

It said all cities. I clicked on one attraction in London and it will not let me see any others . 7.99 and all I can read about is Fulham palace? I repeat do not buy

Perfect

Great app, just what Ive been looking for!

Outstanding

Perfect integration of information and platform. This is a program that makes me glad I shelled out the money for a touch.

Useful for All

I use this app when Im in Manhattan visiting family. Its easy to use and it has a lot of options: places to go, where to eat. Perfect if youre on the go.

Great fun, totally worth the price!

I just spent 3 weeks in Manhattan and even though I was a tourist I didnt look like one! Having my guide book on my iPhone was so wonderful!! I had loads of fun following the books random suggestions!! I found different things to do....in short I loved it! Buy it, its great!!

Looks useful but maps are mediocre

Revised October 14. Maps are subpar and buggy. Subway stops are listed but no subway map. I tried browsing outside NYC - search was buggy also. Not worth $5 - shows potential but developer needs to come up to acceptable standards - these are nice guides in print.

This app rocks!

So awesome! Love it; love it. Even handier than hard copy and so far above other finder apps it renders them useless. Cant wait for Brooklyn. This is a winner that I didnt mind paying for even tho Im the queen of free apps. Congrats NFT; youve done it again.

Needs improvement

Decent for finding a nearby spot on the fly, but the lack of information is disappointing - I just use it as a starting point and have to look up info about each place online. It could use a subway map, too. Instead of pithy but useless comments about each listing, some details would be helpful. Im kind of sorry I spent the money.

Prefer the Paper Guide

I love the NFT-NYC guide books, best guide books on the planet. I thought the app would be just as good. Sadly, its not... Thanks for adding Brooklyn, though it would help out if the Manhattan & Brooklyn neighborhoods were separate instead of mashed together into one list; it can be a bit confusing... Still waiting for Queens, Bronx, & Staten Island...

Eh

Great, useful app

As a part-time DJ and urban mycologist, Im often in out-of-the way parts of the city. Nft gives me what I need to know, is full of interesting nuggets of info, and works in the subway to boot.
